Privacy Policy for e-Faktur Downloader Extension

This Privacy Policy describes how the e-Faktur Downloader extension (“we,” “us,” or “the Extension”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our browser extension. By installing and using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our core functionalities and manage premium licenses, we collect the following types of information:

• Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We collect your email address when you input it into the extension prompt.
• Device Identifiers: We generate an anonymous, unique Device ID (UUID) stored locally in your browser to bind your license to your specific device.
• Website Content: The extension reads specific text elements (such as Tax Period, Buyer/Seller Name, and Tax Invoice Number) directly from your active tax portal webpage.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for the following narrow purposes:

• License Verification: Your email address and generated Device ID are transmitted securely via HTTPS to our backend server to verify your premium license status and process payments through our payment gateway (Midtrans).
• Automated File Renaming: The website content read by the extension is processed locally on your machine. This data is used solely to automatically rename your downloaded PDF tax documents. We do not transmit, store, or log any of your tax data, invoice numbers, or client names on our servers.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We are committed to your privacy. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or website content to third parties. Your email and Device ID are only shared with our secure backend infrastructure and payment processor (Midtrans) strictly for the purpose of license validation and payment processing.

4. Data Security and Storage

Your email and Device ID are stored locally on your device using the browser’s secure chrome.storage.local API. When communicating with our backend server, data is encrypted in transit using standard HTTPS protocols. Our backend database strictly retains your email, Device ID, and license payment status.

5. Your Rights

You can request the deletion of your email and license data from our servers at any time by contacting us. Note that deleting this data will revoke your premium access to the extension. You can also remove locally stored data simply by uninstalling the extension.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy.
